Toyota Land Cruiser HJ61

Early in its life, this vehicle was in the care of the Finnish fire department, so it has always been properly maintained. I purchased it in 2021 from its first private owner at the time.

Desirable HJ61 model with square headlights, model year 1989, 314,945 km on the odometer. Equipped with a 12-HT engine, H55F transmission, transfer case, and fully functioning mechanical differential locks front and rear. Rust repairs were carried out a couple of years ago, and the vehicle was professionally repainted at the same time. Comprehensive photo documentation of the bodywork and paint job is available.

The frame remains solid thanks to fire department storage and maintenance, and it has been protected with a Tectyl/chain oil mixture.

Recently renewed components include front brakes and all front axle joints, reinforcement of rear axle mounts, a full brake service, and naturally oils and filters according to the standard maintenance schedule. Various smaller parts have also been repaired, such as the rear air conditioning blower. Both differentials have been serviced; the front differential received a rebuild kit the previous year, along with replacement of the CV joints.

Receipts and maintenance records are available.

Included are intact rear seats with seatbelts; the vehicle is currently registered as a 3-seat van. A Terrain Tamer belt kit and other interesting spare parts and accessories are included in the sale. The PTO has been removed but is included and stored separately.

Known minor issues: the voltage gauge and oil pressure gauge are not working, and the rear differential lock indicator light flashes while driving (this started after fixing a leak in the position sensor; the locks themselves function correctly).

Original cargo area trim panels are included, along with various small original parts such as a Fujitsu Ten speaker. A great candidate even for restoration as a classic vehicle.
