The Sierra RS Cosworth was released in 1986 as a homologation special. It was the first Ford to be honored with the iconic ‘Cosworth’ badge. A true 1980s performance icon, exemplifies this era.
This lovely RS Cosworth on offer was imported from Germany to Finland in 1997. It was stored in a warm garage without road use until purchased by its current owner in 2016. The reason for its nearly 19-year storage was the owner’s decision not to register it due to high registration taxes.
According to the German paperwork, there were two owners in Germany. In Finland, there was one owner who never used the car and only stored it.
Speedometer reading is just under 20 000 km. There are no documents to verify the mileage, but judging by its condition and lack of use, we estimate it to be 120 000 km.
A light restoration was carried out in 2017 due to the car being in storage for so long. This restoration included some of the following improvements to the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 3D.
