1980 Ford Taunus 2.0 GL with a 2.0-litre petrol engine and automatic transmission.

The car is mechanically in very good condition and has benefited from a substantial amount of recent work.

The suspension has been extensively renewed, including the front and rear springs, shock absorbers, and bushings. A number of major mechanical components have also been replaced, including the carburetor, radiator, radiator hoses, cylinder head, and electronic ignition distributor.

The main work still required is on the body. There is rust present on both front fenders, the front valance, and the sills. The front fenders are currently the areas most in need of attention.

Mechanically, a considerable amount has already been invested in the car, making it a very solid basis for restoration or further improvement. The remaining issues are mainly related to the bodywork rather than the mechanical condition.

The asking price reflects the current condition of the car and the fact that this particular model has become increasingly difficult to find for sale. Comparable examples are scarce, especially in this specification.
