Alfa Romeo 156 GTA
That’s why a timeless classic would end up in the next enthusiast’s home.
After a long search, I bought this last July and the intention was to keep it for a long time but simply with storage space and time challenges, so it will end up in the place it deserves.
Enthusiasts know exactly what car it is, so no more about that.
First registration 30.8.2004.
Has been in Finland since new. At least the last 12 years have only been driven in the summers.
Newer model 330 with Brembo front brakes.
The car has been driven about 200kkm, the instrument cluster was replaced in 2014-2015 so the kilometers have been reset, but all the information is well documented in the service history.
Last summer, about 1000km ago, a rather large eight thousand euro “service” was done at a long-standing Alfa specialist, where all the neglects made over time were corrected.
-Oils changed
-Camshaft made
-Gearbox replaced. (GTA box with about 70k km now in place, ordered from Italy)
-Camshafts replaced (Two made at CamCat factory in Belgium, one found in Finland and one in Sweden)
-Valve lifters replaced
-Brake discs+pads at each corner and one brake caliper replaced
-One control arm replaced
-Air conditioning repaired
7.6.2026 Fixed inside and out and waxed the surface.
Also moderately used by previous owners
-Car painted 2016-2017 (original manufacturer’s GTA red color code)
-Clutch kit replaced 177kkm
-Differential gear replaced 181kkm
-Ecu repaired
-Water temperature sensor replaced 2021
-Air conditioning cell replaced 2025
In general, in very clean condition both outside, inside and in the engine room, but if you want it perfect, it requires a little tweaking, as hobby vehicles always do.
Below are my own observations on the “defects”.
-Crack in the front bumper, repairable but of course requires removal, repair and painting.
-One rear door handle broken (a whole one can be found when you have time to replace it)
-The temperature gauge shows what happens. This was examined last summer. The ECU shows the correct temperatures but the gauge is what it is. (A working gauge set was acquired during the winter, if only I had time to change it)
You will also get a whole container of parts.
At least you will find
-17” replica wheel set
-original headlights
-original stereo
-all the little things that have been acquired for the car (including an extra exterior mirror, Brembo brake pads in the front, etc. little fun.
We will listen to reasonable offers! It is good to note, however, that the value of these will never decrease again and collectors will talk about the most desired color and body style.
