For sale is this magnificent 1965 Lincoln Continental 4-Door Convertible, finished in striking red with a black power convertible top and beautifully preserved original-style interior.

This is the iconic fourth-generation Continental, renowned for its distinctive rear-hinged “suicide” doors, long elegant proportions and one of the most recognizable designs of the 1960s.

The car has undergone a restoration during 2023–2024 and was subsequently inspected and accepted as a Finnish museum vehicle.

Restoration

The accompanying Finnish museum-vehicle documentation records that the car was restored during 2023–2024.

The restoration includes:

• Body and paint renewed in 2024
• Original-style bumpers and exterior trim
• Upholstery renewed partly while retaining the original character
• Original engine
• Original luggage compartment
• Original chassis, cleaned and painted
• Original-style wheels and whitewall tyres
• Convertible mechanism and top
• Extensive cosmetic and mechanical attention

The museum inspection documentation was issued on 25 April 2024, and the vehicle was subsequently registered in Finland on 16 July 2024 as a museum vehicle.

Condition

The car presents extremely well, particularly in the body, brightwork and interior. The deep red paint has a beautiful period appearance, while the extensive chrome trim and iconic Lincoln design make this a very imposing car in person.

The engine bay retains its original character rather than being over-restored, and the documentation specifically notes that the original engine shows some signs of use.

This is therefore not simply a cosmetically restored showpiece—it retains much of the character and specification of the original 1965 Continental.
