Porsche 911 2.7 Coupé
California History — Correct-period 1974 2.7 engine specification — One Finnish Owner Since 2014
A very well-presented 1974 Porsche 911 2.7 Coupé, chassis 9114103737, representing the first model year of Porsche’s G-series 911. The 1974 base 911 featured the 2.7-litre air-cooled flat-six with 150 PS and Bosch K-Jetronic injection.
The car was originally built for the U.S. market and spent part of its earlier life in California. Historical photographs and California documentation accompany the car, showing it in its distinctive orange finish before its restoration.
Imported to Finland in 2014, it has remained with the same owner ever since.
In 2015 the car underwent a sympathetic restoration and mechanical refurbishment, including a professional exterior repaint in the established orange colour, engine rebuild, brake servicing and interior refurbishment. The work was undertaken to preserve the character of the car rather than turn it into an RS replica or modern restomod.
The current orange finish is supported by extensive photographic evidence showing the car in the same colour during its California history, including photographs of painted inner body and engine-bay areas. The available evidence therefore strongly supports continuity of the orange colour, although factory-delivery colour has not yet been independently confirmed from Porsche production records.
Likewise, engine 6146234 is a correct-period 1974 2.7 engine number, but its status as the engine originally installed in chassis 9114103737 has not been claimed as factory-verified.
A particularly appealing early G-series 911 for an enthusiast seeking a car with long-term single-owner continuity in Finland, substantial historical photographic documentation and a sympathetic restoration, rather than a heavily modified example.
