Mazda RX-7 FD3S Type RZ (only 300 produced), with 141,000 km on the odometer.
The car has been built to its current condition entirely during my ownership. It was recently evaluated by Classic Data and received a 2+ rating, which is effectively the third-highest classification possible.
The engine was professionally built by Kanusmotor in 2020 using entirely new components. It has covered only around 6,000–7,000 km since the rebuild and has been maintained more meticulously than many daily drivers. Oil changes have been performed at very short intervals—a well-maintained rotary is a reliable rotary. 😉
The engine is currently running a safe break-in tune:
373 hp / 412 Nm @ ~0.6 bar
There is still plenty of power left in reserve, but even in its current state the car is seriously quick and, above all, incredibly fun to drive.
Over the years, the car has been gone through from front to back.

    • Professionally repainted during the winter of 2024/2025 in OEM Mazda PZ Brilliant Black.

    • Updated to the 1999-spec facelift appearance.

    • A huge number of parts replaced during the repaint.

    • All suspension arms vapor blasted, with every bushing replaced using polyurethane or OEM components.

    • Intake manifold and numerous smaller parts vapor blasted in 2025.

    • Entire chassis, engine, and transmission dry ice blasted in spring 2025.

    • Engine bay wiring rebuilt in a semi-tuck style, resulting in a very clean engine bay with minimal visible wiring.

And much, much more.
This car was not built on a budget. More money, time, and attention to detail have gone into it than I even dare to calculate.
The photos speak for themselves.
That said, no car is perfect, and there are still a few minor things left to address:

    • The plastic trim for the center console A/C and radio panel should be replaced (unfortunately no longer available new from Mazda).

    • The original storage compartments behind the front seats are missing.

    • The driver’s door electrics (windows, etc.) occasionally act up but remain functional.

    • The 5th gear synchronizer makes some noise (a common FD issue). The gear engages perfectly with rev matching/double clutching. Replacing the synchro is a fairly straightforward job, and I can take care of it before the sale if desired.

The sale also includes a huge collection of spare parts, including:

    • Complete original air conditioning system.

    • Original seats.

    • Three pairs of taillights.

    • Three pairs of headlights (including inspection/compliance headlights).

    • Plenty of service parts (spark plugs, filters, oils, etc.).

    • A large selection of brand-new OEM parts still in their original packaging.

For serious buyers, I have plenty more photos (2,000+ 😂), documentation, and detailed information covering every stage of the build.
